Many thanks!

Perhaps it's possible to have the browser restart automatically upon first install, to bypass the missing menu issue?

I don't really want to add in such a bad hack. I'd much rather we sort out the actual root cause -- probably some kind of buggy or racy initialization?

What missing menu issue? The main menu is at the top of the screen in MacOS, and is under the control of the operating system, not the application.

I see. Apparently, you were looking at the wrong menu, if you want to restart. The menu you need to use to restart is File, not Palemoon.

Thanks for this Sugris, much appreciated. Used Firefox for years but V57 has too many issues for me to carry on with. I have used Pale Moon before on a Win8 machine but was not aware it was available for MacOS and most of my machines are Mac (in beta form is fine). I wish I could help but I don't have any coding experience.
