Miner blocker?

Unread post by Giorgos67 » 2017-11-13, 11:52

Hi!

Any miner blocker extensions, for Palemoon?
Or any workarounds?

I added some malicious sites to my hosts blacklist, but the extension blocking way,is better at my opinion (because it gets automatic updates).
TIA!

There's at least one nocoin list that can be imported into your adblocker.

A disadvantage of any lists is that the miners are always ahead of the game and the list is playing catchup.

Since miners are always third party scripts, the most efficient way to block them is to block all third party scripts using something like uMatrix. Sure, some sites break, you have to unbreak them and its a bit of a hassle at first but I reckon it's worth it.

I agree with doofy: just use uMatrix or NoScript, block ads, and you shouldn’t have any issue. Also use a CPU-meter in your panel (or taskbar) so you can see right away when something is using your processor.

You better not install nor use ABP
Use uBlock Origin instead
