[Release] Material Moon

Unread post by FranklinDM » 2017-01-29, 09:11

Remember the material design in the new edition of Chrome?
Well then, they have already arrived here in Pale Moon.
Regular Browsing Mode
Regular Browsing Mode
Material Moon is fork of PMChrome. I would like to say thanks to Lootyhoof for providing the assets from his unfinished material theme.

It also includes dark private browsing mode:
Dark Private Browsing Mode
Dark Private Browsing Mode
Source code is available here:
https://github.com/FranklinDM/MaterialMoon/

You can also download a packaged XPI here:
https://github.com/FranklinDM/MaterialMoon/releases/download/v2.6.1/MaterialMoon_261.xpi

If you previously installed an older version of this theme, you need to uninstall it first before installing this one. :D

Does not display Go to previous page,Go to next page,Refresh the current page,Stop loading the current page View recently viewed pages, view bookmarks, view downloadable Subscribe to this page and icons Gmail Watcher.
After that everything works

EDIT: Fixed with v2.6.2 (if you're pertaining to the private browsing mode, i guess. - By the way, GMail Watcher hides itself in Private Browsing mode, and what "does not display back, subscribe, etc. buttons"?)
- fixes for the "jumpy" toolbar icons on private browsing mode
- minor tweaks to some icons

You can update via https://github.com/FranklinDM/MaterialMoon/releases/download/v2.6.2/MaterialMoon_262.xpi
or by checking for updates in Add-ons Manager.

Just to note: you haven't updated phoebus.manifest on the FTP to include the update, so nobody can get it. ;) (not unless they get it via GitHub)

As for the issue at hand, I can't confirm either. piotrekslusarz, could you list the addons you have installed?

Would it be possible to release a dark version with a light private window?

Also, in Linux the Menu bar fonts appear light for some reason.

I love the theme by the way!

Updated it yesterday, the FTP client didn't upload back the modified file.

Thanks. Yup it is possible. The light menu bar fonts are because of the OS-specific styling, which I wasn't able to modify yet because I currently don't have time to test it on a linux machine.

Try disabling Custom Toolbar Plus. (not sure yet)

The Linux issue is an upstream one (i.e. issue with PMChrome). I'll get on that ASAP.

Edit: Now fixed as of this commit, it should apply cleanly to this theme also. I've also added others...I'll be releasing soon.

I love the new update, however, this time the menu bar has been shrunk and it feels too small (is this by design? or does it need more padding?)

I know it may be a very minor detail but I thought I would let you know.

Sorry for the hassle!

That menubar styling is by design. It uses the native GTK menubar styling, so whatever your GTK theme is using is what that's showing.
