Can't send mail with Epyrus.

Epyrus can collect email OK but no longer sends it. I checked the server settings and they seem to be set correctly. Am I missing something ?

It's possible that gmx has moved off of mixed cleartext and only accepts implicit encrypted connections.
This means you could try outgoing: SSL/TLS on port 465 (instead of STARTTLS of 587)

It still receives ok. Epyrus won't remember passwords for outgoing mail. I need to insert a P/W each time and even if the 'remember pw' box is ticked it forgets. Tested with multiple accounts. Why can't it remember ?

Have reset Passwords edit/prefs/security and most accounts now send again. One is still on the fence and throws up failure warnings.

The STARTTLS 587 is still correct. For some reason one of the GMX emails won't send email but will receive with Epyrus. Before I reset the password yet again is there any way to test or troubleshoot this accounts setup ?

I am using GMX mail with Epyrus which is mostly used for receiving, but I just checked and it is sending emails OK.

My outgoing server settings in case it helps are:
Server name: mail.gmx.com
Port: 465
Username: my full GMX email address
Authentication: Normal Password
Connection Security: SSL/TLS

@geraldh,
I've tried your settings but mail still won't send on that account. Strange because on my main GMX account Epyrus sends & receives OK. I'll contact GMX customer support and see what they say.
Thanks

Fixed. The outgoing server settings were incorrectly set on Epyrus. I changed a few email passwords recently and must have missed that one setting. Mystery over. :coffee:
