Hi all,
So I'm really loving the little universe of UXP programs, especially Epyrus. (Thanks again to athenian200 and all the developers!)
In an effort to be a little more attentive to the birthdays of various people in my life, I started to explore the Address Book and Calendar functionality of Epyrus. I got to wondering if there'd be a way to record birthdays in the Address Book and sync that information with a calendar. A quick web search turned up the following: https://addons.thunderbird.net/en-US/thunderbird/addon/add-birthdays-to-calendar/
It says that it's compatible with Thunderbird 3.0-3.1 and Lightning 1.0b2. I've long lost track of what versions correspond to what, so, feeling hopeful, I downloaded the .xpi file and "Install[ed] Add-on From File," and, lo and behold, it works with Epyrus! I've only tested syncing one birthday from the Address Book to a calendar so far, but it worked. The Preferences widget of this extension also is working so far.
Would it be worth creating a Phoebus Panel account and uploading this extension? I haven't done a thorough investigation, but I saw an MPL/GPL notice in one of the files of the .xpi bundle. What would be the ideal process of getting this onto the Epyrus Add-ons site? Is that even worthwhile?
Have a great day, everyone!
