Minimizing Epyrus memory usage
I'm using Epyrus like I use my phone's email app, where I don't sync or download emails unless I decide to open them, otherwise they are staying on the mail server and I'm only downloading the mail headers. My memory usage this way is about 120mb, and basically no cpu usage while epyrus is sitting idle. I was wondering how this compares to someone who's downloading all emails into off-line, local storage? The same, less, more memory used?
Are there other memory reducing tricks for Epyrus? I'm happy with 120mb of memory, but also would be willing to try to reduce more.

Re: Minimizing Epyrus memory usage
I don't think you can reduce it any more. 120MB is pretty much the lower limit for the platform to be using in any application.

Re: Minimizing Epyrus memory usage
120mb is fantastic. It's about 6 to 8 times less than Thunderbird used to require in full download mode for me with the same email account. Good to know.

Re: Minimizing Epyrus memory usage
Mine usually sits at around 360 MB (on first launch) to 500 MB. I've 2 accounts with all messages set to be downloaded for offline use (they're POP3) while the remaining 8 or so accounts download their emails on demands. I'm also subscribed to a few RSS feeds and have Calendar enabled, synced with a Google account. I'd say it's stable and runs just fine even if left running for a week.andyprough wrote: ↑2023-01-04, 05:41I was wondering how this compares to someone who's downloading all emails into off-line, local storage?
Re: Minimizing Epyrus memory usage
Mine is currently sitting on 336MB with a mix of POP3 and IMAP accounts (7 active in total) and a large mail store and a single active calendar (but no Google linking). I don't use News or RSS and I don't use OAuth.andyprough wrote: ↑2023-01-04, 05:41I was wondering how this compares to someone who's downloading all emails into off-line, local storage? Re: Minimizing Epyrus memory usage
42 accounts and 49 outgoing accounts? Wow! So that's probably very low memory for that kind of configuration.Bilbo47 wrote: ↑2023-01-07, 02:47Code: Select all
