Password change

Post by puppyX » 2026-01-07, 12:51

Hi,
I've just had to change my main webmail password. How can the password be changed in Epyrus so email can be collected ? Can't seem to find where to change password in the Account Settings.

Thanks.

Try to collect mail. when it fails it will allow you to enter a new password.

Two methods:

1. Go to Options/Security/Passwords/Saved Passwords and carefully select and delete the password you are talking about. In case of IMAP, check SMPT entries too.

2. Just wait for a new message to arrive. Epyrus will warn you about the wrong password and prompt for the new one. Same warning will also appear if you attempt to send a message.

Did that work? Some webmails require separate logins+passwords for web access versus IMAP/SMTP access; the good services disallow the passwords from matching.

It will simply ask if sending fails, as well. They are handled separately
