Ok, so is the button completely disabled for you no matter what tab you switch to? I tested it on a fresh profile before publishing. Maybe try removing the button and putting it back - I have made changes to support large/small icons as per toolbar preference (earlier it only had small icons).

When I open a NEW window (not from the past session, I always keep the same session), the icon is there when I go to any site. Changing to a different site may cause it to disappear for a few seconds, but it comes back. In any window from the past (same one for months) session it is blank, removing and re-adding the icon does not work.

Still not seeing it - it works as it should with existing and new windows. Do you see any errors in the error console (if you click on the error button to look at errors only and then type pureurl: in the filter) ?

How would I go into Options if the icon is unclickable?

EDIT: nevermind, options can be accessed in other ways. Enabled "log to console", "expand shortened URLs", "intercept requests" and "fix links on pages". Went to a bunch of sites

I did not filter for PureURL just in case. So, the extension is working, the ONLY problem is the grey icon I cannot interact with. I am not starting a new session, the one I have is too precious.

Nothing there - the sole error is due to an URL it couldn't parse. Hard to tell what's going on with your setup. When you say session do you mean a bunch of tabs that you always keep open, or something else? Since anyway the browser can be set to restore the tabs you were using before exiting. The only reason the button is set to be disabled is if the current tab's URL does not begin with 'http'.

Yes, my eternal session is a bunch of windows with tabs. I always restore it.

Well, looks like 2 windows have the icon and it's working, the rest do not. This reminds me of my NoScript problems where the icon would disappear on some windows but not on others. I can live with this, but it's clearly a bug. Disabling and enabling (restarting) does not fix it.

By the way, the Milestone theme is disagreeing with the new extra option, the window is too small. Not your fault, but still.

Well for some reason updating Pure URL to the 3.0 version breaks subscribing to RSS feeds aka Live bookmarks.

Before update and after uninstall or reinstall previous version:

Well I guess I should add that I updated both Pure URL and PermissionsPlus yesterday so when I discovered the error I disabled both and it went back to being able to subscribe again. I then re-enabled PermissionsPlus and all was fine. Installed Pure URL 2.7.1 and re-enabled and all was fine. Updated Pure URL again and was again broken.

Well, deleting and re-adding the extension did not fix the grey button. I am sure if I started a new session that would make everything right, but that is something I don't want to do. At least Pure URL technically works.

It doesn't play well with multiple windows. Have to figure out why.

Thanks for quickly spotting it - the changes I made for multiple window support needed to be done in the options window as well. 3.0.3 fixes it.

Yeah, the nsiURI api I use fails sometimes. No reason why, so I just log it to the console.
