You could zoom into the page, using Ctrl++ to increase or Ctrl+- to decrease.

Will Stylem support UserCSS format? For example, this style was moved there, but since then doesn't work properly with Stylem.

Hello!

Just discovered this fork after getting frustrated by Stylish not being able to show its edit tab for the umpteenth time... Thanks for this!

What I want to ask is: Is there no gui settings feature? If this is the case is there a documentation for settings? Some relevant settings seems to be in the string format, so it's really hard to guess what are valid values.

Particularly I want to get the app styles section back. And bring back global styles from the submenu.
Never mind. It looks like there's an example of all three values spread out between the different options.

I have a better question: How do I install multiple variants of the same style installed from USO?

Some styles have settings that can be changed before installation. For example this one.
After I installed it can't install another instance after I configured different settings. I also can't update the existing style.

I only get a "style installed" button, which doesn't do anything, or (which I think might be a bug) if I ctrl+f5 I get the nasty "Install with Stylish" button I get with old XUL stylish.
Though on second look, after trying with Stylish I can install another copy if I press Ctrl+F5, so I guess the issue is that Stylem doesn't replace it in this case.

I guess this is a site bug. Because once I got an "update style" button but never again... Non the less all of it is pretty weird and ultimately rather dysfunctional.
Update:
Okay so this is more broken than it first seemed. Even when I first istall the script, what I set is not installed, the script is only installed with default values.

So the only solution is to install it via WE Stylish (or Stylus, which actually seems to work better than with their own addon...) and copy the text from it, which is not fun.

Copy css code, paste to a blank new style, save with a new name.

From userscripts.org. I already edited it, sorry about the confusion. Also with different parameters, as I described.

Hello,
It seems that Stylem support a dark theme for its own editor, I’m trying to enable it, but it’s not easy. Is it supported?
Also I was trying to theme Stylem editor with itself but the code seems to be in an unnamed iframe so it’s complicated…

The default code editor in Stylem is actually the DevTools editor component. As such, if you change the theme in the DevTools to dark, the editor in Stylem will also be dark.

@Lootyhoof

Are there any plans to improve compatibility with userstyles.org?

I installed Stylem and am now trying to set all websites to grayscale automatically.

However, I don't seem to get that to work properly. I tried the following CSS code but it did not change any colors on any webpage. Am I missing something obvious?

Code: Select all

@-moz-document domain("*")
{
  html
  {
    -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%);
  }

  body
  {
        -webkit-filter: grayscale(100%);
  }
}

Don't use vendor-specific prefixes of an engine we aren't using (-webkit)

Thank you; However, even if I remove the webkit-filter (or just "webkit), it does not work.

Code: Select all

@-moz-document domain("*")
{
  html
  {
     grayscale(100%);
      }

  body
  {
     grayscale(100%);
  }
}

"filter: grayscale(100%)" should work. If you remove filter, it definitely will not work.

Unfortunately, it does not work with filter either. Please try yourself the following and see if it works for you:

Code: Select all

@-moz-document domain("*")
{
  html
  {
filter: grayscale(100%)
      }

  body
  {
filter: grayscale(100%)
  }
}

You don't need the -moz-document rule if it's for everywhere. The body rule is also redundant. This should work:

Code: Select all

html {
  filter: grayscale(100%);
}

Follow-Up question: is there a way to also exclude certain sites from the grayscale style?

I tried the following, to no avail (the goal being to have grayscale on all sites except openstreetmap as it breaks the layout)

Code: Select all

@-moz-document regexp('(?!http://www\\.openstreetmap\\.org).*') {
html {
  filter: grayscale(100%);
}
}
