Brave Search's captcha needs WebAssembly 2.0

Upon entering a search term at https://search.brave.com/ and pressing enter, and needing to pass a captcha, this simple error page message shows up:

This page needs WebAssembly 2.0 to function.

Once a captcha challenge is solved, you can get access to Brave Search again without being subjected to our anti-bots measures, for a limited number of queries. The mechanism used to privately allow you to access Brave Search after solving a captcha challenge relies on WebAssembly. Unfortunately, we have detected that WebAssembly 2.0 is currently not enabled or supported in your browser.

Here are a few things you can do:

    If you are using the Tor Browser with its safer or safest security level, WebAssembly support is disabled and you will unfortunately not be able to access Brave Search after your request has been flagged as suspicious. We are actively working on ways to improve the experience of Tor users on Brave Search.
    If the above does not match your situation, make sure that your browser supports WebAssembly and that no extension is currently disabling it on Brave Search.

There is no reason for web search to use wasm. If it does, then they are doing something questionable. Third option is not use brave search.

That page shows as a blank page with Pale Moon. I was able to read source code, but then Pale Moon became unresponsive. The final messages seemed to indicate that it was VPN plus a buggy captcha that was the problem.

You have to allow discourse cdn in ematrix/ubo, and enable javascript.

It was more to show that there's a loooot of people also having issues with brave captcha's.

I allowed discourse.cdn but I still get a blank page. I get it now - I have to disable javascript.

Only if you're running an old version of Pale Moon... As that used to be the case for discourse forums. As you can see from my screenshot, I have the ToggleJavascript addon, and it's enabled.

Also for me that page is blank on last version of PM on windows. I have disabled uBO. I see this error: FinalizationRegistry is not defined

I checked and double-checked, and javascript is enabled for me and I don't have any userscript or http modifier with regards to discourse forums. I am using ematrix and ubo, enabled, but having to allow discourse/forum in it.
