No Scrolling; No Slideshow element visible

Post by Andy_nc » 2025-10-21, 08:45

Hello to all!
First of all, thank you very much for developing a browser that keeps our obsolete Macbook Pro operational!

There are however some issues with some websites.
1) Here scrolling is not possible: sim24.de or yourfone.de :problem:
2) On other websites the Slideshow element from Element Pack of BdThemes is completely absent. :wtf: Somehow, it's visible on their demo page (https://www.elementpack.pro/demo/element/slideshow/), but not on our website, which I cannot share, because it has to stay password-protected.

Code: Select all

Hi Andreas.

sim24.de (and any of their many other domains like sim.de, handyvertrag.de, winsim.de, premiumsim.de, simplytel.de, maxxim.de, smartmobil.de, yourfone.de and possibly more -- all run by the same company!) are using a template that specifies overflow-x:clip CSS without explicitly specifying overflow-y (which per specification defaults to "visible overflow". This prevents scrolling. see also the release notes for 33.9.0
Please contact the webmaster and inform them of this problem (probably best to be done by someone who is a potential customer and is native in German).

Until they fix their use, you can use the arrow keys and pgup/pgdn keys to scroll with the keyboard as a workaround.

Hi Moonchild,

thx for the quick reply!
I will consider contacting support of those websites about it.

Any ideas anyone about the second issue with the slidesow element?
If the same slideshow is visible on the developer's demo page, can it be the Wordpress theme framework that implements Elementor builder and that Element Pack?

Cheers!
Andreas

I can't say anything about the slideshow. it may be a mistake with the wordpress theme, bad interop between style elements in use on the wordpress site or similar. Since there's no access as you say it needs to be non-public, I can't offer any further help.
