This page crashes PM every time
Naturally, unless you are Moonchild or one of his top assistants, do NOT use the link
https://vk.com/wall-30384232_702634 (it's just Sailor Moon fanart)
I am not providing any additional information about crashes, since this one page crashed my session as I was restoring 100+ tabs that did not open as they should. I lost maybe 200 tabs because of that site. I am NOT losing 30 that I did manage to save.

Re: This page crashes PM every time
We are aware of crashes on vk.com that can happen intermittently. Unfortunately there are no real pointers on how to solve it.
See Issue #2508 (UXP) and Issue #2645 (UXP)
It's recommended you don't use Pale Moon for vk.com links for the time being.

Well, that was the fastest time an issues was resolved..... kind of. And..... there isn't a chance the second to last version of the sessionstore file is stored somewhere on my drive, is there? Cause the moment browser crashed session file updated immediately and all my info was wiped.Moonchild wrote: ↑2025-09-20, 07:35We are aware of crashes on vk.com that can happen intermittently. Re: This page crashes PM every time
There's sessionstore.bak that saves the previously-saved session. It will get overwritten regularly with a more recent session, though, so your time to recover from it is limited.
Otherwise, there are no recovery mechanisms for volatile tab data (short of extensions that might offer to save copies). If you have that many open tabs and you don't want to lose them, you should bookmark them as a bookmark folder to have a backup (Bookmark all tabs).

Since I don't know how to see the future (very well), bookmark all tabs is the best news possible. I'll remember that.Moonchild wrote: ↑2025-09-20, 08:00There's sessionstore.bak that saves the previously-saved session. EDIT: copying the session file to an external drive during manual restoration is also a good idea. Even if a crash happens the older sessionstore.bak will remain the same forever.

Instead of having 200 tabs open, why not use bookmarks? You do not lose those if the browser crashes.

Rather odd. You would think that Russia's number one social media site would want to support one of the very few browsers that doesn't sell all user data to "advertisers" or just hand it directly over to the CIA, the Mossad, MI6, the BND, etc etc

They wouldn't have heard of it, given its already miniscule userbase, the number of Russians using it would be even less.andyprough wrote: ↑2025-09-20, 22:46Rather odd. Re: This page crashes PM every time
For what it's worth I tested earlier with that OP link, and after crash the browser automatically restored the session.
See here the screen record (direct download link, 3.8MB).
Maybe it's just a matter of settings, dunno. And if that doesn't [always] work there's the Session Manager extension that does its job.
