When I set javascript.enable to false some parts of that site don't work, but I have not been able to get Pale Moon to actually freeze, and I can still move from page to page.

But I am using Windows, so maybe that makes a difference?
Laptop 1: Windows 11 64-bit, i7 @ 2.80GHz, 16GB, NVIDIA GeForce MX450.
Laptop 2: Windows 10 32-bit, Atom Z3735F @ 1.33GHz, 2GB, Intel HD Graphics.
Laptop 3: Linux Mint 20.3 64-bit, i5 @ 2.5GHz, 8GB, Intel HD Graphics 620.

64-bit Basilisk (2025.06.13), Windows 10, Javascript disabled, no problems with that page.

Win7 x64. PM 33.7 x64. i7-3770s, 8 GB RAM.

I'll just note...
javascript.enable false
You would expect that things would be better with that (well, aside from parts not working, of course).

No freezing with or without JS enabled.

JS enabled, PM never seems to settle down on that page, non-stop GET's (along with persistent high CPU usage).
Contrast to that, SeaMonkey, that loads the page, goes to Done, & that is that.

Stark contrast there.

JS disabled, both load & settle down.

PM 29.4.6
JS enabled, does not have the persistent GET's that 33.7 does.

So, on your end, appears to have to do with (lack of) AVX?
Any about:config settings in that respect that might help?
