Lobste.rs layout broken

Post by leothetechguy » 2025-05-07, 06:10

Encountered this issue on lobste.rs today. I think it's a css only issue because palemoon does not recognize this `grid-template-columns: subgrid;` rule, correct me If I'm wrong though. Running Palemoon 33.7.1

Edit: Just to be clear, expected behaviour is that the columns are left aligned, but they are centered instead, and I can confirm it looks correct in firefox.

We don't have full support for "subgrid" yet.

Also, as a critical note: why on earth are they using grid for that kind of layout to begin with? That makes zero sense and will inevitably cause massive bloat (and slow rendering) for any web browser in existence.
