My System: Windows 7 professional 64-bit
Pale Moon version: V33.0.1 (2024-02-27) 64-biy
Adblock is disabled on the website: simplicius76.substack.com

This website offers subscribers the opportunity to comment on articles published by the author.

1. Subscribers can sign in to their account (upper right hand of the webpage)
2. Commenters can rearrange the comments by Pull-Down under the categories: Chronological (default), New First or Top First.
3. Commenters can show their approval of a comment by pressing the "Like" button
4. More comments can be loaded by pressing the "Load More" at the bottom of a webpage

Neither 1, 2,3 or 4 above work in the Pale Moon browser, meaning:

Unable to sign in to my account
Nothing happens when I press the Chronological sort option.
Nothing happens when I press the "Like" button for any comment
Nothing happens when I press the "Load More" more option

All the above issues work correctly in Firefox.

Thank you for ignoring the instructions for posting web compatibility issues.

Please try to include any relevant output from the Toolkit Error Console or the Developer Tools Web Console using the following procedure:

Clear any current output
Navigate or refresh the page in question
Copy and paste Errors or seemingly relevant Warnings into a single [ code ] block.

I didn't use the Toolkit Error Console because I didn't see any errors. I'm not a technical person either
and I could not find a tutorial or instructions on how to use the Toolkit Error Console or the Developer
Tools Web Console.

I did find the Error Console from the Pale Moon Browser Main Menu at Tools / Developer Tools /.Error Console
I hope this will suffice your debugging needs:

Looks like a script took an inordinate amount of time and was terminated automatically.

Try going into Preferences, Content, and uncheck "automatically stop unresponsive scripts". if you then visit again you should get a pop-up telling you a script was unresponsive (or the browser may potentially seem hung for a while). if you are asked what to do, click "continue" to give the script more time.

By the way, you don't have to state the date in your posts, that is automatically recorded by the forum.

Okay, I did as you suggested after turning on the Toolkit Error Console again

(Preferences / Content / Uncheck the box labeled "Automatically stop non-responsive scripts")

I pressed "Continue" and the webpage just looped back around.however I was able to do the original interactions from my first post but
the browser responds very slowly.

There's really not much we can do about sites of which scripting is so slow it becomes unreasonable. You could let the webmaster know and/or use a different browser for that particular site.

This is a known problem with substack - and the script in question triggers if you mouseover the link to someone's profile in comments.
