Two errors in archve.org

Unread post by msam11 » 2024-01-04, 20:31

I'm using Win7.

1. with palemoon I cannot scroll bookpages in archive.org. This means the right or left arrow doesn't respond.

2. after searching some titles I can click an item, but there is no right click function for opening the item in new tab. I have to leave the search result page instead.

Some months before these functions has been ok.

Thanks for any help

Michael

To add to this...when the search results are displayed, sorting by date, size etc also does not work...you click and nothing happens

Open the book, and then click the icon in the lower right to change to "Thumbnail View" in the archive.org book viewer. Pick a different page, and then the ability to turn pages to the left and right returns. It's working for me this morning. I can also then move through the book by moving the slider below the book through the pages, which also doesn't work for me otherwise.

The site appears to function correctly with dom.webcomponents.enabled = false, including RMB context menu.

That doesn't do anything for me.

You're right. I should read more carefully before replying. I was speaking mainly about search results. Ctrl+click, shift+click, and Open Link in... context menu items do not function on search results unless "dom.webcomponents.enabled" = false.

Ok I see, yes you are right. I was focused on the page turning issue.

Isn't this the kinda stuff Palefill add-on was made to address?

Been wondering, can the user add rules?

Maybe martok can add archive.org for us. Don't think they hang out at the forum though.
