Factorio Mod portal

Unread post by dtoxic » 2023-01-21, 14:51

On the webpage https://mods.factorio.com/ a certain button does not work as expected

on the screenshot provided circled in red, expected behavior is once you select the version (say 0.18) the website should refresh and at the end of the address add the following ?version=0.18

this does not happen,i tried with ublock disabled. and also with a clean Pale Moon profile (portable) latest version

there are no errors displayed in the console

After clicking on the link you provided; btw thanks for providing the link, I followed your instructions and when I clicked on the button and selected 0.18, the button still lists 0.18. Even after refreshing the page, the button still lists (0.18).

At this time, I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 31.4.2 running in 64 bit linux Mint 21.1 (Vera) Xfce. The only extension I use is uBlock Origin and it was enabled for the site.

Correct but the content of the page should change and the address bar should read https://mods.factorio.com/?version=0.18

Seems they are using the incorrect event handler for <select> They are using the (on)input handler -- this only works if the element actually receives input (e.g. if the value is changed by focusing it and pressing the up or down key to select a different value). They probably wanted to use the (on)change event, instead, which also works on <select> with mouse input.

It's something the webmaster needs to fix.
