https://www.ghacks.net/ has not been working correctly for quite some time. There is no scrollbar, and mousewheel scrolling is also disabled. Actually the scrollbar is visible for a second or so after page refresh. Works fine with Firefox.

I don't know how to copy several error messages, so here is one of them (there is many almost equal).

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
I've been going to ghacks.net daily with Pale Moon and have never experienced any problem with the mousewheel scrolling or with the scrollbar disappearing. In fact, the website always behaves exactly on Pale Moon as it does on other browsers for me.
Your error message seems to say that the https version of the website is not available, but I'm on it right now. I haven't done anything unusual to make it work.

It works fine. Always has. Try Safe Mode/clean profile.

@ PalleP
I just now updated to 64 bit linux Pale Moon 31.1.0 running in, at this time, 64 bit linux Mint 20.3 (Una) Xfce and there are no problems with gHacks when scrolling or using my mouse wheel since I just came from there once I saw your post. I visit gHacks everyday too.

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
I tried some some of the suggestions since I am obviously the only one with the problem:
1) Cleared cache ect, restart, no change
2) Restarted in safe mode, Ghacks now working
3) Restarted in normal mode, Ghacks working but persona had returned to default
4) Applied Pale Moon X1 persona, persona+Ghacks now working
Here is the troubleshooting info, sorry, I could not find any "hide tags":

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
@ PalleP
I also use a persona (lightweight theme) and it is FranklinDM's "Moonscape". After visiting gHacks this morning after updating my main desktop tower computer from linux Pale Moon 31.0.0 to 31.1.0, my Moonscape theme did "not" change back to the default. Also, you are using 32 bit Windows 7 Ultimate where I am using the 64 bit linux Mint 20.3 distro.
It has to be something on your end. As "back2the moon" suggested, have you tried creating a "clean new Pale Moon profile" with nothing transferred over from the old profile since profiles can get corrupted.

Well, my persona did not reset to default at the PM update, but when i returned from safe mode. No big deal, I just enabled PMx1again...Night Wing wrote: ↑2022-06-08, 10:37@ PalleP

And now Ghacks works so I don't need to fiddle with profiles
Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
Today the scrollbar is missing again. I just discovered that all I have to do is restarting PM, then it works.
I have not seen this problem on any other sites. Any ideas?

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
Have you applied any Windows modifications, UI-related like fonts, scrollbar width etc.?

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
@ PalleP
I suspect there is something wrong in your profile, but you do not want to fiddle with your profile. Making a clean new profile does not delete your old profile. And making a new profile only takes a few minutes of time. But if you make a new profile and everything works, then that will confirm there is something in your old profile which is causing the problem.
The way I see it; you have made a few posts in this topic thread which were on Tuesday, Wednesday and now today, Thursday. You've already wasted three days.
Today is Thursday and you are again asking for ideas, but a logical "idea" is to make a new profile which is one idea you seem adamant about not making. All you are doing now is running around in circles.
Take a few minutes of your time, make a clean new profile and report back.

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
Okay, I will try with a new profile...
Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
This is with the new profile, and there was no scrollbar on Ghacks.
It is not a clean profile though, I made a few vital changes.
Installed Adblock latitude with IDCAC filter added, and Pale Moon X1 persona.
Otherwise I have only imported my bookmarks and changed privacy settings + start page.
I then turned off Adblock Latitude to see if it made some trouble, and then Ghacks was working.
The problem is that Ghacks also worked when I switched Adblock on again.
So maybe something like I saw with the old profile, a PM restart will make Ghacks work.

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
Just run a completely clean 'new Profile'... as others have suggested... add none of your 'vital changes'!PalleP wrote:It is not a clean profile though, I made a few vital changes.
If the Ghacks page then works correctly... as it does for everyone else... then something you are adding is causing the problem.
And that is your problem to solve... by a process of elimination.
It can't be done remotely for you.
Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
Well, I don't want to browse without adblocker and with default configuration for hours just to see if 1 site then works. Remember that the problem is not persistent.
I will just use another browser for Ghacks, problem solved. Thanks for the suggestions.

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
You don't need to use that new (and preferably 100% clean and unmolested) profile for other sites, just for testing gHacks.
But ...
--- you don't want to do that. Okay, fine, thanks for wasting peoples time when they were trying to help you.

Re: gHacks still not working with 31.1.0
Yes I do because the problem is not persistent and is not present right after start or restart of PM. I don't know what triggers it but it will not happen if I just open Ghacks.
I see no reason to be rude...
