Otter.ai - No scrolling

Unread post by RandyC » 2022-05-08, 00:26

In the past six days Otter.ai came out with the "New Otter" which unfortunately has no way for PM users to scroll down the page.

This does not affect their webpage for visitors, it only for those of us logged in to use the service which have no scrolling, the scroll bar doesn't show, although it seems there is a blank space for it, and the mouse scroll no longer works.

Anyone can get a free limited account to check out the behavior.

I checked the "Error Console" and saw no errors.

**Notes:**
1. Works as expected using Opera, with fancy tiny scroll bar and mouse scroll.
2. Tested on PM with Safe Mode

Operating system: Win 7 x64
Browser version: Palemoon-29.4.6.win32
Browser theme (if not default): Default

Tried a fresh install in Safe mode with no addons or plugins
Installed add-ons: none (fresh installed version of pale moon)
Installed plugins: (about:plugins): none (fresh installed version of pale moon)

Thank you for looking
Randy

I briefly tried the site and saw this error an awful lot after logging in:
Whoops, something went wrong... Please reload the page and try again. Error: 'invalid 'instanceof' operand window.ShadowRoot'.
This looks like another case of a site requiring Shadow DOM support.

The otter has gone the way of Google WebComponents, by the looks of it. :(
