And Yahoo Answers have also been killed.
Nowhere comparable or as unique as the Imdb forums were. Yahoo Answers was more often a source of hilarity for the utterly dumb questions and answers that were on it, some memed for posterity.

scripts are loaded from polyfill.io. If all sites did this...
Contrary to its name and suggested function, polyfill.io is NOT making things more browser agnostic -- in fact people using it causes no end of trouble. do a forum search if you want to see for yourself.

I've already disabled NoScript.
Disabling it won't help you much. You must uninstall it and clear your cache and hope it hasn't caused any subtle corruption.

Well, it plateaued. Most comments stay up, about 10-20% get deleted. And no, this is not a Pale Moon issue now (tried Waterfox, same thing).

Complain to YT!
Thanks for the repsonse. Yep, i complained 4 days ago on YT first, but got no response there... Seems to me, this yt comment system seems to work or not like wind blows and now for me seems totaly stopped.

I also see other people can comment, tried everything fresh, but seems no way...so in a way could understand their no response.

Thanks for the response again, at least that proves me that i am still alive  FK YT, i can live without that... it is nice to have communication, but i wouldnt be surpised when they will just send all these yt comments to dev null at some point :coffee:

simple workaround to post comments, no need for chromium browsers

the useragent need to be changed
we know, changing to chrome results in non functional site

so we need a mobile device
general.useragent.override.youtube.com;Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 5) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/71.0.4472.120 Mobile Safari/537.36

in fact, even this short string is ok
general.useragent.override.youtube.com;Mozilla/5.0 (Linux; Android 5)

now comments will stay, wont be deleted.
small disadvantage, you will be redirected to the mobile site.
with this useragent changing to dektop site shows only the typical non functional site as usual when faking chromium, try it out
youtube.com/?app=desktop

anyway, best solution for now, posted some comments 60, 45 and 30 minutes ago and none was deleted
tested with Palemoon 29.4.2.1 (and LibreWolf 94)

I thought I was ghosted but I found months ago it was the user agent.
I could use firefox agent 62 to comment but the loading froze the whole broswer and wasnt worth it.

if I want to use this user agent override, where and how do I use it? In about:config?

Setting as Webkit did not helped. Comment still went missing.

Which just proves it currently has everything to do with your profile, not browser or settings. Google sees that it's YOU, and treats you as sus.

Well, I am able to post messages using MS Edge. In Pale Moon it's usually failing.

Then how do you explain, that in other browsers comments (FF94) the same comment remains posted? Your logic denies this whole thread.

I liked the part where my lack of logic denied this whole thread.

I guess I should bring up how I tried posting through Waterfox more than once, and some of those comments were deleted also. Experimental evidence points to browser of choice being currently irrelevant, instead the profile being the culprit.

Your logic is flawed.
You think YouTube's algorithm discriminating would be just against Pale Moon specifically? Or any non-Chrome browser in general? Answer that question and you'll see why Waterfox would also have trouble.
Also, you can't rule in the profile unless you have been using the exact same profile between Waterfox and Pale moon -- in which case all bets are off and you're likely using a corrupt data set to test ;)

Nah, we've already ruled out any strict connection to user accounts. e.g. I can be logged in to Google in Edge and in Pale Moon and Pale Moon comments are killed but the same comments made in Edge are not. All else being equal, from the same IP, same machine, etc.

Then this is AI trained to remove comments from "untrustworthy" people, and having wrong opinions as well as using a pro-freedom browser are both causes.

If you actually read through the reports on YouTube's own thread for this issue (linked earlier in this thread), and consider their number and breadth, that seems unlikely - however much some people may want to think of, or frame it, it in those terms.

It seems much more likely they are simply discriminating against non-chromium-type browsers (assuming their broken AI is fixed to work as however Google thinks they intend it). Google has a long, inglorious history of deliberating making their services work badly with browsers that aren't (like) their own. This would be of a piece.

don't understand this discussion

as i wrote, the solution is the useragent-string, once change to "Android 5" redirects to mobile youtube site, the string is even shorter as me found out
general.useragent.override.youtube.com;Android 5

yes, only "Android 5" is enough ("Android 4" does not work, don't ask me why)

this is the one and only practical solution for Palemoon (and Waterfox Classic, LibreWolf and so on)
after you made a comment, change back the useragent string (mouse right click)
