There are two parts to the problem with Spotify:
- One is to make the page render. Showing them a Native UA fixes that.
- The second is to make the web player work. Unfortunately, AFAIK there is not currently a fix for the player.
Ok. Thanks for the explanation
No, do not touch it under any circumstances.
Editing it will fix nothing and could potentially cause major, hard-to-diagnose problems.
Well I'm already tinkering with it, and i got nothing. I decided to undo all changes and make it only contain "{}" like default.

So here is my conclusion (for now):
1. You cant play song or podcast in Spotify Web Player on Pale Moon
2. Spotify renders correctly on native and gecko, but it shows "unsupported"
3. Using Firefox compatibility will make the screen black

Any suggestions for anything else? For now I think I'll use my phone to use Spotify.

My condolences.

Then why does my install render all three compat' modes the same. (though NOW it shows unsupported)
(Hey, I have NO idea)
Granted NOW I can no longer use the player. But before changing compat' modes I could.

Hmm. Since the dynamic override hadn't worked here, (but changing to Native mode did work), I just tested a local, personal SSUAO for spotify.com w/ a Native UA string - and that didn't work either.

Native SSUAO for scdn.com also didn't work.

But Native mode, or in the alternative a global UA override, did both work.

Spotify's dynamic override works again for me since this fix.

User agent overrides are NOT a fix it is a workaround but it also proves that a web site/service could be otherwise more compatible and agnostic browser wise if it WANTED to.

So the responsibility is automaticlly on them since there is no current TRUE technological issue only an artifical one.

I was referring to the dynamic override system being fixed, not Spotify.

its failure to work was a running issue in this thread (though not the only one) - you'd need to read the earlier posts.

Did I say I was refering to the dynamic update system?

No, I was referring to it.
Your post appeared to be responding or at least related to mine, given timing and proximity.

Well maybe you should stop assuming things about what I say and just ask me. Not like I am hard to find.
