xe.com borked

Post by moonbat » 2021-01-24, 06:09

Reproducible on a vanilla profile - empty page with the following error:

Code: Select all

Timestamp: 24/01/21 17:05:53
Error: TypeError: Intl.PluralRules is not a constructor
Source File: https://polyfill.io/v3/polyfill.min.js?flags=gated&features=default%2Cfetch%2Ces5%2Ces6%2Ces7%2Ces2017%2CResizeObserver%2CIntersectionObserver%2CIntl
Line: 7
It was working last time I checked about a week or so ago. Another case of sniffing for unimplemented draft features?

For a service that is -supposed- to provide polyfills for browser features, it seems they are constantly breaking things by having the polyfills themselves rely on implementations of things in browsers that are only present in browsers that wouldn't need their polyfills. Kind of defeats the point of providing polyfills then, doesn't it?
Someone should probably report this to polyfill.io.
(ftr, PluralRules API is only available in Chredge (79+), Firefox 58+, Chrome 63+, Safari 13+, Opera 50+, and will be in Pale Moon 29+)

Web devs, why leave a functioning website alone when you can import the latest Chrome specific shiny bollocks every week to keep yourself employed?
