Facebook laggy in Pale Moon - second

Post by damjang » 2021-01-08, 20:49

First: this want to be a "normal" (read polite) continuation of this topic. I know that problem on facebook page is not PM cause, but maybe with trying to tweak some settings we can increase FB page usability on PM.

I try to not use FB, bur sometimes I need to browse it and after 10-15 minutes of browsing FB page my PM memory consumption increase over 4GB and with over 12% cpu: PM become laggy and I have to close it to use it again normally with other pages.

First improvement was the one specified by badnick in original topic:
Seems to disabling „enabling compacting GC” under „Garbage collection” on Pale Moon commander leads to a significant improvement in Facebook browsing: the progressive lag is much-much lower untill memory rise to around 2500 -3000 MB or over when Pale Moon still begin to hangs but these hangs are short and not irreversible so Pale Moon is still responsive.
For me now is something better, but not yet very good.

If someone know a way to correct or decrease lagginess, please write it here.

Thank you!
(last PM on win7x64 with 12G ram)
