Works in FF, not in PM
For the last year, over time, more and more, I'm finding web sites that have 'controls' -- I assume javascript -- that don't work with PM. The latest is github.com.
Opening those sites in FireFox works.
...Just a heads-up. Something's amiss.

Re: Works in FF, not in PM
So you somehow missed every other thread about github for the past several months, eh?
I think you just need to switch to something else because you aren't even smart enough after five years to SEARCH THE FORUM let alone use the technology you employ. In my opinion, you literally do not deserve the privilege to use software I have contributed to. Not to mention a proper answer.
You are a perfect example of the prototypical forum moron.

How about ebay.com? Its form controls don't work either. If I want to contact a seller, I have to do it in FF.
And what do I search for, "github"? That returns 5587 matches. I did find this:I think you just need to switch to something else because you aren't even smart enough after five years to SEARCH THE FORUM.
https://forum.palemoon.org/viewtopic.php?f=70&t=25697
but it's not germane, or is it? If something works in FF but not in PM, I don't think the info in that page is germane.
Well, I don't expect a proper answer from you, Mr. Tobin. And I merely posted an issue, not a question. You are free to ignore it.You literally do not deserve the privilege to use software I have contributed to let alone a proper answer to your query.

If you don't do anything else, at the very least take note of the board rules.
And no, I have to agree with the others here. It's disappointing that you don't even take a moment to scan over recent topics before posting a new thread. Especially if you "don't live on the forum" it's good to take a few minutes to read up when you decide to come back after some absence to prevent people spending time answring what has aready been answered many times over. Switch to input mode if you return from a hiatus first, read up, and THEN switch to output mode.
Also, when you search and find too many results this forum allows you to refine it as often as you like. See the "search these results" input box on results pages.
You can do better than this.

The topic title you decided to use doesn't do anything except requiring people to open the topic to see it's yet another github complaint. Please always mention the name/domain of the website in question in your topic title.

After a review of his forum history it seems he can't do any better because he is too old which is BS because I know other older people such who do indeed do better. So I am only left with the conclusion that he does this as a lifestyle choice and wants to get away with the grumpy old man routine without even bothering with substantiating his systems architect background.
It is one thing to rail against these new fangled concepts but it is quite another to have a background in tech and show it one minute then be flabbergasted the next. This is his MO.
Least he didn't call me by my first name.. this time. So I will give him that.
Still he could have searched.

Mr. Tobin. Don't try to turn me into an object. I'm currently working hard on ffmpeg and handbrake settings to make best transcodes, first time, every time, without trial-&-error, based on frame-stepping observations in MPV that anyone can do. I can still run and play and bend over and palm the floor.New Tobin Paradigm wrote: ↑2020-12-09, 13:29After a review of his forum history it seems he can't do any better because he is too old which is BS because I know other older people such who do indeed do better.
What grumpy old man routine? So I am only left with the conclusion that he does this as a lifestyle choice and wants to get away with the grumpy old man routine without even bothering with substantiating his systems architect background.
MO? You cannot assign motivation to people and you shouldn't try. Doing so gives you a skewed viewpoint and is very unhealthy. Get help.It is one thing to rail against these new fangled concepts but it is quite another to have a background in tech and show it one minute then be flabbergasted the next. This is his MO.

You have tried this you're insane bullshit before when someone didn't agree with you or called out on your bullshit.
Basically, point proven.
So at this juncture I really only have one response for you:

Just admit that despite your supposed decades of experience in technology you failed spectacularly at basic forum etiquette and asking questions the smart way.
One can expect a total noob born after the mid 90s to show up (as many do) asking for help without ever searching the forum or mentioning the site in question, what exactly is your excuse after both being here for so long and supposedly being experienced at computer tech?
