Zendesk loads blank page

Post by zd_user » 2020-11-18, 23:50

Hello,

I have been using Palemoon ever since Firefox broke all there extensions. Specifically I need tab groups https://bitbucket.org/tabgroupsmanager/ . I still can't seem to find any replacement, all I need is a 2nd toolbar with groups of tabs. I can't understand why that is not standard functionality in browsers, it seems like a no brainier. Instead you end up with complex solutions like tree tabs and simple-tab-groups where you need to go through a menu to find your groups of tabs.

Anyway Zendesk fails to load now, started showing a blank screen last week. I don't see all that much interesting in the web console. Just a blank white screen, I imagine its some of the javacript junk they push at the browser, they use react among other stuff. I think you need to be logged in tot he agent interface to get a blank white screen so I can't give a specific link to show the problem. Its the basic https://company-name.zendesk.com/agent/ that loads blank.

I tried Zendesk support but they are no help at all:
Zendesk support wrote:I just heard back from our experts and as mentioned on my previous email, this is expected since PaleMoon is not a supported browser of Zendesk. For now, we highly recommend to use support browsers.
Sadly I am not in a position at my company to have us use a better ticketing system so I am forced to use Zendesk. I have been using chromium to load Zendesk but its very annoying having to go out to a different browser all the time.

Zendesk does offer free trials, so if someone wants to look into this they can get a trial, or I am happy to sign up for a trial and make someone an agent if they want to look into this problem.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

Ar least the "sign in" window works here.

I get the "Sign In" window too.

And I'm using at this time, 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.15.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 20 (Ulyana) Xfce. I've got uBlock Origin enabled for this site also.

Yes, sign in works fine, once signed in is when the blank page loads. Hence the kinda annoyingly hard for other people to reproduce issue here... Would it be helpful if I created Zendesk trial so people could login and see the issue? If people want to PM me I can do that and start giving out login info to reproduce.

hi there,

i am also a user of Pale Moon with zendesk, and it started breaking with a complete blank white page about few weeks back, somewhere in 10NOV.

it has been working ever since JAN2019 when i joined my company, so its something zendesk has done on their end to break stuff. 1st i noticed that zendesk loads much slower compared to firefox/chrome.

i have tried to troubleshoot this by checking the web dev tools and the javascript console but i'm unable to understand what i should be looking for.

let me know if more details are provided i can provide?
