Fanatical.com fails to load
The page fails to load:
https://www.fanatical.com/
At least for this site, feeding polyfill.io with Pale Moon's native UA string seems to solve the problem! :)

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
Already did.
Perhaps it works for you because you've changed Pale Moon's default User Agent Mode from "Firefox Compatibility" to "Native", under preferences?

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
No, I haven't changed that.
I now tried an entire new profile on Win 7 and it works fine.
I also tried it on my normal profile on 2 Linux machines.
Maybe try a proxy server or Tor.

Same to me, only with "native" user agent it works.

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
It works in my regular profile with Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64; rv:78.0) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/4.6 Firefox/78.0 PaleMoon/29.0.0a6 and some add ons
but in a fresh profile it doesn't, there's only a page loading animation of some yellow expanding lines.
In my regular profile if I go to STORE - NEW TO FANATICAL then it says Newely Released | PC Gam... in the tab title so their spelling is definitely off.

I see Google in the search bar.
As I know PM uses DuckDuckGo by Default, so this can't be a fresh profile.

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
This is the only change I made. Do you think this can influence the rendering of a page?Pentium4User wrote: ↑2020-09-29, 04:19I see Google in the search bar.

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
It should interfere with that but please try again with an entire fresh profile and only open the webpage that doesN#t want to open, do not import any data or change any setting. You can create a profile alongside your old profile and switch between them.

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
Testing with a fresh profile is one of the most basic troubleshooting procedures that exist.
It won't suddenly fix the problem, just because you continue to recommend it!
Obviously, there are other forces at work here.
Perhaps small differences in our UA strings, which wouldn't normally matter, or regional factors of some sort.

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
Badnick: On a brand new profile the page loads fine but I don't get a server push notifications prompt that you get. I only get a cookie prompt at the bottom. So there is definitely some different behaviour going on. I don't think it's regional since it wouldn't make sense that Norway and Romania have problems, but Sweden and Germany don't.
Push notifications should not be available at all in Pale Moon so the page shouldn't normally prompt for it? Are you absolutely sure your profile is clean and that nothing else on your system is interfering with the page load, at the networking level? Hosts file, proxy, or what not?

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
The last try was made with a new profile I'v made right now. Now I tried also with the AV disabled and is the same. I don't know what anything else on my system can influence this behavior. And I just tried also on Basilisk and here is working (fresh profile)Moonchild wrote: ↑2020-09-29, 08:32Badnick: On a brand new profile the page loads fine but I don't get a server push notifications prompt that you get. Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
In my experience, when troubleshooting various GDPR-related filter list issues, regional factors doesn't always make sense.
But since the user agent definitely plays some part here, perhaps we could all post our default ones?
Here's mine:
Code: Select all
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; Win64; x64; rv:68.9) Gecko/20100101 Goanna/4.6 Firefox/68.9 PaleMoon/28.13.0
If the page still works, then try using the same UA override for fanatical.com (while also keeping the one for polyfill.io).

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
My UA is:
So only the OS differs.
As expected creating overrides for polyfill.io and fanatical.com doesn't change the behavior. It keeps loading just fine.

Re: Fanatical.com fails to load
No change here either.
Just to make sure, I used your UA for fanatical.com, googleapis.com, googletagmanager.com, imgix.net, newrelic.com, nr-data.net, pki.goog, polyfill.io and starfieldtech.com, but the page still wouldn't load!
Also, according to uBO's logger, the exact same parameters are applied to polyfill.min.js, when using both Firefox Compatibility mode (when the page won't load for me), as when using Native mode (when the page loads):
Code: Select all
https://polyfill.io/v3/polyfill.min.js?features=default%2CIntl%2CIntl.PluralRules%2CIntl.PluralRules.~locale.en%2CIntl.RelativeTimeFormat%2CIntl.RelativeTimeFormat.~locale.en%2CPromise%2CPromise.prototype.finally%2CArray.prototype.includes%2CArray.prototype.find%2CArray.prototype.filter%2CArray.prototype.keys%2ClocalStorage%2CObject.entries%2CObject.keys%2CObject.values%2Cfetch%2CSymbol%2CSymbol.iterator
(or more precisely v3.89.4, @ https://polyfill.io/v3/polyfill.js)
