Yeah, imgur is being too trendy! Best option is to complain to them.

What you're describing is exactly what started happening to me yesterday(sep 1st). Also using v28.12.0 and made sure to disable adguard when I tested.

Thanks to mods this post was merged. Opting out of imgur's beta helped me. Hope it would last.

I find that for some reason, Imgur re-opts me back into the beta after five minutes.

Putting in a useragent override to match Internet Explorer did the trick however.

Can you reply with the useragent string so we can just copy-paste it into about:config?

It worked for a couple of days.. now even the IE agent is getting the beta treatment. Guess they're just rolling it out regardless.

How about trying an Edge agent string? Microsoft has pivoted away from IE to that.

Just use the beta disable link then hit Ctrl+F5.

The opt-out link appears to work by changing the value of a cookie:
postpagebeta and/or frontpagebetav2 (value in either/both changes from 1 to 0)

If you get quickly reverted to beta, perhaps you are somehow deleting those cookies, causing them to be re-created with default values...?

What extensions do you use that might do that?
