Re: Coinbase.com oddity: invisible font!
Right, so... I went ahead and got a coinbase account (not that I prefer to hand out my legal identity information but for an exchange it's required)
And... what you're getting is NOT what i'm getting (which looks like a proper desktop site), so I'm guessing you're blocking something that causes a misdetect. It's possible/likely that the site state is stored in a cookie and if it's able to get a desktop status at least once it'll do so in the future. Or something.
Anyway for me with ABL and without paranoid script/cookie blocking rules everything works fine.

I'm getting the same as you, but no text. I'm not blocking cookies and disabling eMatrix/uBlock Origin doesn't change anything.
Troubleshooting info below (I'll test it again on a fresh profile without extensions but is there anything in the modified preferences that could cause problems?)
Edit - same result on a fresh profile.

Pure URL doesn't interfere with the site - you can confirm from the tooltip on the toolbar button, or from the log if enabled that it has intercepted/processed zero links on the site.KlarkKentThe3rd wrote: ↑2020-10-29, 11:55did mess with PureURL (checked and unchecked "intercept requests)

Possibly browser.display.use_system_colors: true is interfering?

That does mean however that their styling is incomplete and they should look into that; it's an accessibility issue.

Came back to the site now, and with 'use system colors' disabled it again shows up with all text missing

Re: Coinbase.com oddity: invisible font!
I had this same problem on Coinbase with Pale Moon 29.1.0 on Windows and found that the issue is with the font "Graphik". When I googled that font and clicked on some websites that displayed it, and then went back to Coinbase, I could then see the text on the Coinbase buttons again. I assume one of the other websites was able to download the font into my cache in a way that Coinbase failed to. This fix lasted for a few weeks, and then I had the invisible text on Coinbase buttons again.
I am now using a workaround with custom CSS and the userstyle manager extension Stylem.

Code: Select all
@-moz-document domain("coinbase.com") {
body, button, a, input {
font-family: "Segoe UI","Roboto","Oxygen","Ubuntu","Cantarell","Fira Sans","Droid Sans","Helvetica Neue",sans-serif;
}
}

They have recently fixed the problem on their end. Yes, I contacted them.
