I visit these forum regularly:
http://forums.codeblocks.org/
https://forum.lazarus.freepascal.org/
Loading them cause the entire browser to be lagging, it's more serious when I tried to scroll it via middle mouse or dragging the scroll bar directly (it's worse than using middle mouse).
Closing them caused the browser back to it normal speed.

Works perfectly here, script are allowed.
Please try it with a new profile.
Have you enabled smooth scrolling?
If so, try to disable it, it is very slow on slow hardware.

Re: Scroll lagging with SMF based forums
Both sites load for me in less than one second of time. No problems scrolling either whether I use the mouse wheel or dragging the scroll bar for either site.
At this time, I'm using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 28.11.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 20 (Ulyana) Xfce. The only addons I use are NoSquint 2.2.2 and uBllock Origin 1.16.4.23 with UBO enabled for both site.

No. I disabled smooth scrolling because it caused slowness for me, too. It's one of the first thing I do.Pentium4User wrote: ↑2020-07-21, 10:04Works perfectly here, script are allowed.

But I have turned Hardware acceleration on because it helps youtube video playing in better quality. Could it be the cause? Well I will try turn it off and report back soon.
I admit I can't turn Hardware acceleration off, it's too vital for me. Most of my time with PM is watching youtube.

They loaded fast for me, too. They only started to cause slowness when I tried to scroll the page.Night Wing wrote: ↑2020-07-21, 10:56Both sites load for me in less than one second of time. No problems scrolling either whether I use the mouse wheel or dragging the scroll bar for either site.

I'm using the athenian200's build for OpenIndiana, still on PM 28.10 since he's not yet updated his build.
Re: Scroll lagging with SMF based forums
I confirmed that Hardware acceleration caused all of this lagging. With Hardware acceleration turned off, everything is much faster. But youtube will not happy without Hardware acceleration, so I will create another profile just for these SMF forums.
