The difference is when I go to www.youtube.com, or go from there to open a link like under Best Of You Tube in another tab, using Pale Moon it takes 5 or 6 seconds for the page to initially load and show all the pictures of the videos whereas Chromium and Firefox take around half that. As pages often take a few seconds to appear it isn't that noticeable. I was wondering about this too, because it does generally work, so I compared with other browsers and timed it. I can watch 1080P with no HW accel, but it buffers above that in Pale Moon and Chromium. HW accel doesn't work properly with my hardware / OS, not everyone can turn it on.

A solution that I discovered to work is to delete EVERYTHING (including the flash cookie via Better Privacy, but that may not be needed), several times to be extra sure, quitting, and re-opening a couple minutes after. That makes YT generally usable. And fixes >100% CPU usage.

I suspect the slowness of the browser was caused by upgrading to a new version, and the new version disagreeing with the old cookies (and/or cache). This has happened to be more than once when upgrading/downgrading.
