Sites which run the latest xenforo 2.3 software now cause issues with the latest Pale Moon browser.
I'll show three examples from xenforo's own support forum to demonstrate. These work fine with Chrome/Edge/Firefox/Safari but don't work correctly now with Pale Moon:
1.) forum list -- overlays, when you hover over a forum title no longer work in Pale Moon. In pale moon they are black on black and can overlap each other not closing when you hover-off the forum title:

2.) thread list - thread previews stay open after you are no longer hovering on a thread title, and several stay open instead of only the one you are hovering over, creating an odd effect in Pale Moon browser:

3.) the lightbox doesn't work in Pale Moon - when the small image is clicked, you just get a spinning circle and image never loads in the lightbox overlay

Could Pale Moon support these features?

Re: xenforo overlays and thread previews
It uses the currently unsupported CSS clamp. I did not experience the overlap issue, they disappeared when I moved off (Basilisk).
Again, I didn't experience that, they disappear as expected.2.) thread list - thread previews stay open after you are no longer hovering on a thread title, and several stay open instead of only the one you are hovering over, creating an odd effect in Pale Moon browser:
window.getComputedStyle(t).transform is returning "none", which new DOMMatrixReadOnly is not accepting; DOMPoint does not have method matrixTransform.3.) the lightbox doesn't work in Pale Moon - when the small image is clicked, you just get a spinning circle and image never loads in the lightbox overlay
Here's a Modify HTTP Response filter to address these.
Code: Select all
[["xenforo.com",["/normalize\\.css/",["/clamp\\(0%,(.*?),100%\\)/g","$1"]],["/lightbox-compiled\\.js/",["e=new DOMMatrixReadOnly(window.getComputedStyle(t).transform)","tr=window.getComputedStyle(t).transform,e=new DOMMatrixReadOnly(tr==\"none\"?undefined:tr)","/\\.matrixTransform\\(d\\)/g",""]]]]

Re: xenforo overlays and thread previews
Thanks very much for taking a look!
It looks like the issue with popup/overlays not disappearing as expected is actually due to the combination of xenforo 2.3 + Pale Moon (latest) + wacom tablet. I haven't had an issue with (any of the many, including this) wacom drivers in a browser for 25 years... this is the first. So I did not test with a mouse. Oddly it only affects Pale Moon and xenforo with the wacom.
Thanks very much for the info on the other two issues.
