drive.google.com stopped working this week

drive.google.com loads but many elements on the page do not respond. It seems inconsistent, sometimes after a few refreshes my own files can be selected, but shared ones do not respond at all.
Download, rename, share, are not responsive and the three dots menu at the right does not open.
Right-click menu does not open either.

This was working last week.

yes im getting the same issue as well. not sure whats going on with this google and their shenanigans, breaking stuff over and over is pretty fun for their devs i guess.

This sucks, can't upload files, drag-and-drop doesn't actually allow dropping, manually selecting via file picker shows like it started uploading, but it never finishes.

Seems Firefox doesn't support "longtask" either. Not sure in what way it would work in Firefox, unless there's some special client handling for them going on.
Ah... Maybe they try to use supportedEntryTypes() and if that fails just "assume it supports everything" -- how dumb.

EDIT:
creating a PerformanceObserver with no known entryTypes should not throw an exception, but should simply create a useless observer.
The workgroup apparently just took the official stance that dirty hacks are "per standard". I guess we can do that, then.

EDIT2:
Apparently we already do this :P -- the fact that it reports this to the console is an indicator that the useless observer was created. So this isn't the reason it doesn't work, then.

I can make most things work (after allowing everything but youtube in eMatrix), but I can't load folders. The loading circle just spins forever.

On top of the console errors in OP, I also get these:

same issue here, same errors

the setting menu is unresponive and I cant download, upload or see my past uploads.
pretty much kaput

Unfortunately, there is no official way to restore compatibility between Google Drive and the Pale Moon browser, as Google has implemented measures that block access for non-mainstream browsers. The best option is to use a different browser that is supported by Google Drive.
Such intelligence...

I checked my user agent overrides, noticed I had Firefox spoofed for Google domains, I removed them. I use native user agent by default. Google Drive almost works now, I can navigate folders, upload files, copy share links, but I can't download files.

A POST call is made to https://drive.usercontent.google.com/uc ... t=download, on the Response tab in dev tools ->Network tab, I see SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data.

But I don't know if it's a problem, Firefox says it removed string )]}' from the beginning of JSON data and displays it part by part while Pale Moon only shows raw JSON (and a error). The part after )]}' is parseable by both browsers. The JSON object contains the download link, which by itself also works on both browsers.

This actually did it. I don't know if I had gone into Tools > Preferences > Advanced > General Tab and Compatibility to Firefox myself, but setting it to Native makes google drive (especially going into folders) work! Thanks.

Is downloading still broken for you (right-click on the file->Download)?

I figured you still need to spoof Firefox to accounts.google.com if you want login through Google account button to respond on some sites (eg. imgur.com).

Did anyone ever tell those guys at Google that they're horrible programmers??

Yup, downloading is broken from the outside, and from the inside as well. Bummer.

Native Pale Moon's user agent is blocked since recently to even open the Drive. This user agent override in about:config still works:

general.useragent.override.google.com - Mozilla/5.0 (%OS_SLICE% rv:71.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/71.0 PaleMoon/33.9.0.1

Downloads also work.

Nice. Tested it and download works (if allowing sheets-googlecontent frame in eMatrix).
