reddit login failure

reddit login failure

It seems reddit is blocking people from logging in through palemoon.

I type in the exact password I have and it gives me some kind of weird error:

Something went wrong logging in. Please try again.

Really obnoxious stuff. I tested in librewolf, problem doesn't exist.

After reading this, I successfully signed into https://www.reddit.com/ after filling in the Log In form. The second pic is my reddit (blurred for privacy) avatar in Pale Moon, to show that I am signed in.

Of course, "works for me" isn't that helpful, but Reddit isn't systematically or maliciously blocking Pale Moon.

Even so, default Reddit (not old) in Pale Moon is a sub-optimal experience, and so I normally choose to open it in Edge.

It could happen if you're blocking Google's domains (google.com, gstatic.com). Other than that, works for me as well.

It works again... if i disable my adblock ublock origin it seems.

Very strange.

I wonder which filter is effing things up.

OP must have exceptions setup or maybe uBlock glitched on the lists? From what I see, the list blocks every Reddit domain you can think of, so normally, you wouldn't even get to the login form.

Learn to use the uBlock logger - you can see what was blocked and then create an exception for it on that site instead of turning off all blocking. In this case if it's recaptcha related you'll have to allow the Google domains mentioned.

But the login in Reddit does (or can?) work, I tried the old reddit even though it hurts me eyes.

In case it is any help, I have uBlock Origin installed with only default settings and no extra lists, and I don't have any tricky add-ons or scripts installed in Pale Moon that tamper or mess things up.

Great, now I no longer need exception for scripts from google.com, gstatic.com and cdn-apple.com on Reddit, redditstatic.com is sufficient. And integration with KeePass through PassIFox works again. Auto-fill on new form was broken for a while now, on top of the form being slow and laggy.
