Star Wars Artists Guild: Unable to login or reset password

Unread post by Stargate38 » 2024-08-08, 22:03

Please always mention the name/domain of the website in question in your topic title.

Please try to include any relevant output from the Toolkit Error Console or the Developer Tools Web Console using the following procedure:

1) Clear any current output
2) Navigate or refresh the page in question
3) Copy and paste Errors or seemingly relevant Warnings into a single [ code ] block.

Code: Select all

**PASTE CONSOLE OUTPUT HERE**
No errors appeared in the console.
Site in question: https://www.swagonline.net

After making a new profile and migrating my bookmarks and passwords over, I tried re-logging into their website, but I got an error on screen: "Submission failed. Please reload the page, ensure JavaScript is enabled and try again", and the same error appears when I try to do a password reset. I disabled my adblocker (ABL) and eMatrix, and the error still appears, even though I have JavaScript enabled. Anyone know how to get it to work? I couldn't find any contact e-mail to report the error.

EDIT: Just checked, and the error occurs in Safe Mode as well.

Maybe try getting assistance on their forum? https://www.swagonline.net/forum

I would, but they require you to login (using the same account as the main site) before posting.

EDIT: I found the DeviantArt page of one of the moderators. I'll try contacting them through that.

Sorry for bumping this, but I still can't login/reset (tried it in Chrome, got the exact same error), the moderator never responded, and I can't find any way to contact the site owner (Baronbob) without logging in. Hopefully there's a way to fix this (it would be nice if someone could PM me the site owner's e-mail). I haven't been logged in to that account for some time, and I'll be extremely upset if they blocked me, as I never violated any rules there.

Unfortunately there isn't anything we can do on this end if we don't know what's wrong. If there was an issue with a web API or what not, then that would show in the error console but if that's blank, then... :silent:
