To all fans of viruses, false positives, doomsday conspiracy theories et cetera.

I have really sad news for you guys. There is no virus in interlink-52.9.7606.win32.installer.exe ... :-( :-o ;-) :lol:

... just in time for it to be superseded by the next version. Which may again be a false positive if they just whitelisted this one particular file.

Well you can either trust me that my shit ain't actually infected or you can believe the scare tactics of anti-software companies that it is so badly infected because their AI heuristics and huge hash tables say it is until one of their meat puppets get around to taking a gander.

Don't worry though, I will wear a face mask when I make the next release and socially distance from the build server.

Well, I certainly trust you that your product is not in the clutches of any pandemic ;) - that's exactly why I filed a false positive objection to Avast in favor of Interlink installer. This was the way to install Interkink without a complaining antivirus.

But I think Moonchild is right when he notes

That's the stupid thing about antivirus programs - unfortunately you need them, but sometimes they piss you off.

That's by far not enough! You may only operate your computer keyboard with disinfected hands in clinically clean protective gloves - and ideally in a clean dust-free room within a hermetically isolated high-security bunker :!: :P
