... just in time for it to be superseded by the next version. Which may again be a false positive if they just whitelisted this one particular file.

Um! Interlink & Avast - is something actually emerging tenderly between'em like a love story that never ends?

Well you can either trust me that my shit ain't actually infected or you can believe the scare tactics of anti-software companies that it is so badly infected because their AI heuristics and huge hash tables say it is until one of their meat puppets get around to taking a gander.
Don't worry though, I will wear a face mask when I make the next release and socially distance from the build server.

Well, I certainly trust you that your product is not in the clutches of any pandemic

- that's exactly why I filed a false positive objection to Avast in favor of Interlink installer. This was the way to install Interkink without a complaining antivirus.
But I think Moonchild is right when he notes

That's the stupid thing about antivirus programs - unfortunately you need them, but sometimes they piss you off.

That's by far not enough! You may only operate your computer keyboard with disinfected hands in clinically clean protective gloves - and ideally in a clean dust-free room within a hermetically isolated high-security bunker
