Don't date robots!
I came across something funny while testing two other browsers. On another forum I occasionally lurk, at least when using Chromium / Firefox, sometimes it briefly redirects to /mown/index.php. I noticed it due to an entry in history that says "Don't date robots!", which is the title of the page. If you go there directly with other two browsers, you end up on the main page, but using Pale Moon, it stays there and you see the page body contains the text "You need to accept cookies!". I don't block cookies.
Anyway, just making this post to disperse the monotony of Cloudflare related doom & gloom. Or something.
It seems redirects don't happen on Pale Moon, at least I haven't noticed them so far. Although I noticed another weirdness, if you visit it via HTTP, then it loads partially, remote fonts don't seem to download, but after refresh, it goes to HTTPS, where it works properly.

Maybe your extensions? On Dactyloidae 13.1 and 13.2-pre2, Basilisk latest and PM latest with just ubO, it works fine.

I tested on Brave origin and PM and both worked and displayed the same thing, with the slight exception with Brave, the URL had /index.php at the end at the address bar while PM didn't.

Re: Don't date robots!
I didn't say it doesn't work fine on PM in general. Just find it interesting that redirects that happen on other browsers, if you go to that page (to which it redirects) directly with Pale Moon, it stays there and you see the notice about cookies.
Just opening the main page doesn't set cookies. You need them for login though.

This exact thing happens to me too, though only the Pale Moon part, as I don't use other browsers (excepting Basilisk).UCyborg wrote: ↑2026-05-03, 16:40/mown/index.php. Re: Don't date robots!
For me on Pale Moon, declining cookies and with µBlock suppressing all scripts and cross-site requests, Vogons opens correctly for me. Maybe my measures have broken whatever has broken your site.

Re: Don't date robots!
Do you mean that part that if you go with Pale Moon directly to that page under "mown", it stays there?
Since I was trialing the newer Chromium / Firefox only for the short time, I'm almost certain I would notice the redirect from normal non-mown page to mown before, but either I didn't or I'm lucky, assuming they were implemented for a while. Unsure about the amount of randomness / frequency of occurrence. Could be that they simply don't occur with Pale Moon's user agent. I'm using the native one that isn't default, so the one without Firefox part.
Another funny observation, they block Chromium 138 agent (the previous not that old LTS version AFAIK). But 117 is fine.

Re: Don't date robots!
Precisely. I was wondering if there was some confusion among others between vogons org and mown index, so I quoted the exact relevant part.
I'm also using PM set to native user agent btw.

Re: Don't date robots!
My results:
Code: Select all
Pale Moon (eMatrix and uBO): "Don't date robots!| You need to accept cookies!"
Waterfox (uBO): "Don't date robots!| You need to accept cookies!"
Firefox (uBO): Redirected to home page.
