What the actual FUCK were the folks at Cupertino smoking when designing and developing this year's OS? (iOS, iPadOS, macOS)

I was expecting it to only be buggy on older devices, sure, it's a terrible excuse for why your software is shit, but, get this...

EVEN ON A IPHONE 17 PRO, IOS 26 STILL IS SHIT!

I'm not on about the occasional bug, I mean like the system is barely holding itself together.
We are talking about the keyboard flat out not working half of the time, Lock Screen being broken, literal overheating on the HOME SCREEN (Vapor chamber cooling my ass)

Even on the macOS side, having the last Intel version of macOS being Tahoe is practically a death wish.
Overheating on the Finder (on both Intel and M1 Pro, from both first-hand and community reports), overall instability, basic apps not working at all like Word.

I know iOS stability has gone off a cliff, but with 26, it's a new low.

Crazy how a UI overhaul (liquid glass) can cause that many issues.

Typical Apple. Break stuff badly for billions of users, and then soon they'll get praised for rolling out incremental fixes. Microsoft does the exact same thing but gets trashed in the press for it. I think the press response is simply because the current generation of journalists grew up worshipping Steve Jobs as their god, and they still see his divine touch in Apple's products today. The next generation of journalists is unlikely to be so kind, as Tim Cook did not inspire the same god-like loyalty and they did not experience Jobs' charisma directly.

I think I figured out the answer to the original question. It was the magic smoke after vibe circuit building for their hardware! :D
