Good evening
I'm just wondering if anyone has any idea of any anti-hacker add ons for Pale Moon... going a little bit off the top of add-ons does anyone know of any anti-hacker or anti-malware freeware that might be good for getting rid of spyware, hackers and any other nasty things Avast premium security can't get rid of (given I cant afford the extra cost for the extra features that allow me to stop hackers??

uBlock will stop a lot of web nasties due to its extensive filter lists: https://github.com/UCyborg/uBlock-for-f ... y/releases
If you have the time to learn how to use it, eMatrix will stop scripts from untrusted 3rd party domains from loading that could potentially include malicious scripts: https://addons.palemoon.org/addon/ematrix/
I would start with adding one or both of those extensions to Pale Moon for a safer online experience. Not allowing malicious sites or scripts to load in the first place is probably the best defense.

Re: Anti-hacker Tools
The average internet user isn't so special that a hacker would specifically target them, and you've not indicated how you're different from the average.

True, but there are websites that are injected with malicious links for drive-by exploits. And we have a lot of users on Windows and old unsupported versions of Windows, which is pretty much the target audience for drive-by exploitation. So you don't have to be special to be at risk, you can just be at the wrong place at the wrong time.

Re: Anti-hacker Tools
Drive by attacks by definition are not targeted at specific people. For that there's more sophisticated malware like Pegasus for iPhones and those have been used against journalists, celebrities, whistle-blowers, activists and the like; those who have upset very powerful people or governments. Nowhere near the average internet user facing the average lowest common denominator opportunistic malware.
Else OP needs to use clear language. Malware is all that average users face and a well configured adblocker is more than sufficient. Even antivirus subscriptions are a scam, use your brains and don't open unsolicited attachments or links and MSE on Windows will suffice.

Moved to off-topic as it's only tangentially related to Pale Moon (and is suspect for other reasons - this topic is on staff's radar as a result).
If OP needs specific help with a situation, they would do well to be clear about it what is going on and what they want help with.

Re: Anti-hacker Tools
Without knowing anything about the original post’s context, I would suppose from a vague concern about ‘hackers’ and ‘malware’, and his belief that Avast’s paid features would suffice for his needs if he could afford them, that he is a layman, not especially well informed but wishing to keep his computer secure. I think the advice already given him here for keeping his computer secure should suffice for his needs.
