Re: So much schadenfreude..
I have never used Chrome. I installed it "once" in Windows 7 and when I hit the launcher icon for it, I was greeted with a window asking me to put in my password.
I was like, "WTF"? When I installed Google/Chrome, it never asked me to input a password. After doing a little (pardon the pun) googling, I found out I had to jump through a few hoops to make it start/open without a password.
This exercise by Google/Chrome left a bad taste in my mouth. As they say; "You only get one chance to make a good impression" and in Chrome's case with me, it did not. I uninstalled Chrome and that was the last time I ever "messed" with Chrome.
Now I do not want to hijack your topic, but the link below still pertains to Chrome. If this article below is authentic, Google might be in trouble, with Chrome, butting heads with the DOJ (Department of Justice) here in the USA. The article was published on 11-22-2024.
Google might find out dealing with Gorhill (the flea) was/is a piece of cake with Google/Chrome (the gorilla), but if the article at the link is true, I imagine Google might start to "work up a sweat" if it has to go up against the DOJ........especially now if it is Trump's DOJ which under Trump might be (the elephant) against Google/Chrome (the gorilla).
Time will tell because if the article is true, there will be plenty of lawsuits and appeals which will be a drawn out affair. As they say, "The wheels of justice...........does move at a snail's pace".

I wouldn't hold my breath though, they'll surely cut a deal somehow. Too much at stake for them.
