DuckDuckGo is failing today
A friend and I both receive no results for any search query on DuckDuckGo today, whether with the ordinary or scriptless site. Would anybody here know what is wrong?

Re: DuckDuckGo is failing today
The rumour mill said it was an issue with Bing and their copilot.
I use searx and 4get and now user other backend search engines.

Re: DuckDuckGo is failing today
I just came from DuckDuckGo and it is working for me. I put in a search query for Haley Otto and there were quite a few topics for here. Clicked on one of them and it took me to that site.
At this time I am using 64 bit linux Pale Moon 33.1.0 running in 64 bit linux Mint 21.3 (Virginia) Xfce. I am at home in southeast Texas in the USA.

Re: DuckDuckGo is failing today
DDG has said they are aware of the issue and suggested using !bangs in the meantime until whatever the issue is is resolved, if you run into "no results"

Off-topic:
The only thing that's really worth searching for is videos and articles on Haley Otto walking back and forth on the very nose tip of her surfboard. Otherwise the internet is kind of a waste.
So, nothing really wrong with DDG failing to return results on other topics.
By the way, I've seen a couple of times where it looks like she's surfing while standing backward on the nose tip of the board. Are you able to do the backward nose riding @NightWing?

Re: DuckDuckGo is failing today
I read that multiple search engines were affected, and it was all the ones that relied heavily on Bing. Using Google for a while wasn't so bad, and DuckDuckGo is working fine now.

I'm 74 years old now, 5'8" in height and weigh 140 pounds. I "do not" do any nose riding anymore. That is a young person's game. If the nose rider digs the nose of the board where it goes under the water riding a wave, the tail end of the board will lift up out of the water, moving forward very fast and slam into the back of someone's head. At my age, I like to stay away from "Murphy's Law" if you get my drift.
Since I ride a 9'3" single fin longboard with a pintail, I am a "glider" which is considered a boring type of surfing because it means I like to glide to the beach on a wave and get about a 200 yard ride without using too much energy (good for a 74 year old like me) while doing slow "S" shaped turns . I like to surf waves from waist high to head high.
The space I like to stay in to ride a wave is between the middle of the board and the tail end of the board. I am a regular footer (left foot forward). My feet are usually over the centerline of the board. Sometimes I will put my back right foot on the left or right rail depending on wave conditions. I can turn the board left or right without moving my feet. Just by turning my hips and shoulders left or right without moving my feet very much. You can see this is in the video below.
My favorite location to surf on the middle coast of Texas is at Port Aransas and the place I like to surf there is at the Horace Caldwell Pier. Below is the video showing many "longboarders" surfing. Lots of old codgers in this video surfing there too, but I am a "LOT" limber than they are. BTW, a longboard is considered to be any surf board (usually) between 9' and 10'6" in length.
See the video in 1080p60 (if you can) HD and in full screen mode.
