Good evening.
I just found out that there is a search engine called Ecosia that supports planting trees, etc:

I haven't tested it yet, but maybe someone knows it and will share their opinion or check it for themselves.
Have a good night.
Ecosia search engine.

Re: Ecosia search engine.
It's one of the default engines offered in Pale Moon...

Re: Ecosia search engine.
I used it in the past, it was pretty good if you like the Bing search results. Right now I'm having trouble getting its image search to work, there's an XML parsing error related to something called "snowplowanalytics":Piotr Kostrzewski wrote: ↑2024-04-23, 17:04Good evening.

Re: Ecosia search engine.
Long before coming to Pale Moon, Ecosia was my default search engine in my Chrome browser. A friend told me about it, and it seemed like an okay deal, put up with whatever arrangement Ecosia had made (with my data and ads) to get sponsorship to pay for the tree planting.
But at the time, I never really got used to the search results. As a long-time Google search user, the results never seemed as good as I was used to, and more and more I would return to Google for a search, and then after a while I was just like "planting trees is great, but I want better results!" This was quite a few years ago, so maybe Ecosia is better now, but in the time that I was using it, my stats showed that I had contributed to plenty of trees.
I haven't tried it again since coming to Pale Moon, but I always feel a little sad and guilty when I think about it being available (but not used) as one of the search engines in the browser.
