I guess I thought most people thought the two were the same.

Although, if i understand you correctly, corporatism is an extreme version of capitalism.

If so, okay, sure.

Extremes exist on many things in our world.

The easiest way for our world to fall apart is by losing balance in some way or another... so yeah.

I don't know if you were saying it was an extreme version or something else, etc... but I will just list it as this.

Large companies are well able to and do lobby government to pass laws in their favor. Else I'm all for regular family owned small businesses doing their own things. The moment a company goes public with shareholders and the rest, it becomes suspect for me.

I do not think this is a problem. It has been the fashion since the 1770s.

That is probably true. That's why lobbying needs more restrictions if it is even allowed to stay around at all.
