What do you mean by AVX threads? I understand noscript, because I seen some stuff in the past. But i do not know what AVX is specifically. I know of an AVX protocol supported by processors, but I am not sure if this is what you mean.

I did at one point notice an adblocker known as adnauseum having legacy support, but when Moonchild put it on the blocklist as a dangerous addon, many people got pissed off big time. Saw quite a few people get their accounts deleted after that.

Is this what you mean by being worse?

Seems I haven't.

But I agree with anything but AVX2 as the requirement.

IE, AVX or SSE2 are fine in my opinion as requirements. AVX2? No.

To clarify, if I need to change hardware due to avx2 or newer , that would be a problem.
AVX, SSE3 or SSE2 is fine though.
