If people are still using Firefox 30, well.
There's people still using Windows XP after all
Just checked, and around the time Microsoft completely ended support for it(April 2014), Firefox was at v 29/30.
Would be great if the halfwits using MyPal and other unauthorized garbage for XP could just stick to Firefox 30. If you can stubbornly remain on an 8 year obsolete and unsupported proprietary desktop OS, why not stick to a browser also from that era?
Until recently I used to be one of those 'half-wits" that still used XP and MyPal. (Sorry but I didn't see it as sarcasm) Problem was that not all of us could afford to upgrade and buy a new computer. I was lucky to find a refurbished one that had Windows 10.
That said I was quite surprised to discover, upon updating PaleMoon, that all my favorite themes were now useless. (I loved my Walnutty theme) and was a bit bummed to see that the Add-on page was no longer up. Still..I look forward to seeing new add-ons.

I'm always very impressed when I see people that can keep older hardware running. It's not a question of spending money for new hardware but of using secure software with them. I have some old 32-bit XP-era machines, and when I use them I run antiX Linux or a similar minimal GNU/Linux distro on them. That way I can be sure I'm running updated software with updated security patches. For my machines that won't run the latest Pale Moon, I use the links2 text browser if I need to be online. Netsurf is also an option for very old computers. Without running secure software, it's easy to unknowingly become part of one of the huge bot armies of compromised old XP machines.
Microsoft has taken zero responsibility for the hundreds of millions of old machines for which they could easily offer free and secure solutions, even if it was just offering their own lightweight version of Linux. But they won't do it because it would cut into the profits from forcing everyone onto upgrade paths.

I use puppy linux on quite an old laptop (in fact i have about 6 pups up and running on different partitions) and have never experienced any major issues..
It should be noted that puppy is fundamentally a static operating system and updates are to be done by the user and are not automatic.
Even if compromised,,just delete the save file/folder and import a saved one and away you go again.Very modular.
Many thousands of laptops/pc's destined for the dump can be saved this way.
user of multiple puppy linuxes..upup,fossapup.scpup,xenialpup.....
Pale moon 29.4.1

So long as you only contacted the creators of
those builds for problems instead of coming here because that's the main complaint with these users. They are using an unsupported build and shouldn't expect any help for it here any more than they can expect Microsoft to support them with XP itself. You want to use a dead OS on the modern internet, that's your call.

I never had any problems actually. A lot of people liked to use scare tactics saying the net wouldn't work on XP yet I was on the net with XP for years.
However I am not stupid; I am not going to ask Microsoft for help on any technical issues regarding an unsupported OS.
However Windows 10 does have its good points too.

And that seems hard for many people to understand, as we have constantly had Mypal users coming here for tech support despite being told multiple times that this forum is only for officially supported builds on officially supported platforms. Dealing with their posts when you don't know in advance that they're not using Pale Moon simply wastes time that could've been better spent helping others.
