How many trick-or-treaters do you get these days in your neck of the woods?

Do people in your neighbourhood put up a lot of Halloween decorations?

I had 30 trick-or-treaters this Halloween night. And this year, there were lots of Halloween decorations. We had a perfect cloudless night with the air temperature around 62 degrees F. Perfect for the kids in their costumes.

Talked to my wife where she is at in central Texas with her 4 year old grand niece and the little niece went as a "witch" in full costume and make up where they walked in the subdivision where they live. They had a great time.

Almost forgot. The niece made out like a bandit "candy wise".

I'm from brazil, from the younger crowd (i'm 25) and most people in this age or below tend to attend the festivities and take the whole thing very seriously. While i'm quite sympathetic to it, no one invites me to any of the parties, so i'm taking the old people's route of ignoring it. But i think this may be just envy.

Maryland, here.

Lots had decorations up this year.
Guess after having done pretty much nothing last year, they were in catch-up mode.

Like Night Wing, we had a mild evening & around the same number of ghosts & goblins.

More boys this year. Not so many girls as in years past.
And not very many really young kids, again different from past.

Went through ~60oz of candy, but then I'm a good candy giver (& eater).

When I was growing up... heh, that's an entirely different story (compared to today).
I'm a traditionalist, with some things, & for something like Halloween, it's supposed to be done - on foot, for miles & miles & miles on end, day & night - & without "supervision".

Anyhow, I'm just glad that at least some still have the Halloween spirit.
