Re: Your Theme Song today
Earlier today I came upon this cover song from one of our customers at the computer repair shop who brought in his tower computer to replace a slowly dying SSD in it. He had this song in his music library. This sorrowful song has some "powerful" lyrics in it. And the singer has a good strong voice.
So I had to visit YouTube to find it and find it I did. It is a little over seven and half minutes in length, but it is a very good listen (in my opinion). So I decided to make this song to be my theme song for the day.
Silas Crow - "After I'm Gone" (a fictional Michael Bennett cover with lyrics).

Finally got my Git woes sorted out (never using a VPS to host my SOURCE CODE AND WEBSITE again) and can finally work on milestone 12.2 (catching up with rendering optimisations made in UXP within the last 10 months, and contributing back my changes from Dactyloidae)

Some people are absolute wizards in their field, they do things that are just so far above and beyond the norm you can only respond to it with wonder and awe.
My theme song for today is exactly an example of that, having first heard it yesterday late at night.
Improver - Feel the future

Re: Your Theme Song today
I am hoping this video plays becausce I cannot get YouTube to play on any of my three linux browsers using MX Linux 25.1 (Infinity) Xfce. So I switched over to my backup SSD running Debian 13.4 (Trixie) Xfce. But using Pale Moon, Waterfox, Firefox in Debian; I am able to play YouTube videos. So I hope there is a glitch with YouTube and MX Linux.
Since I talked with my 9 year old great niece on the phone last night, she wanted me to play aTaylor Swift theme song for her today if possible. I am going to do that if YouTube does not cut me off. I also asked her if she is allowed on YouTube using her tablet. She told me her mother doesn't allow it until she is older.
So this song for today is my/her theme song of the day.
Taylor Swift - "Cruel Summer" (with lyrics).

Re: Your Theme Song today
I had a female customer who came into the shop last week with her desktop tower computer. She had Windows 11 installed on it and she did not like it. She said she has watched many YouTube videos on many different linux distros. But she said one distro that seemed easy to learn and that was linux Mint.
I asked her if she needed any Windows "only" programs and she said no. I told her if she purchased a second SSD, I would install the drive in her two hard drive bay. This way she could have Mint and Windows 11 in her tower.
Then I would install Mint on that drive. And if she didn't like Mint, just bring the tower back and I would take out the Mint drive, format the drive to delete all of her "stuff" on that drive and she could watch me do it. Then I would give her, her money back for the returned drive. She said that sounded like a good deal.
But she asked if I could re-install all her "stuff" from the Windows 11 drive and configure Mint for her. I told her I could. After installing all her "stuff" in Mint, she told me if her music library was installed too. I told it was.
She said if I didn't mind, she would like to play a few songs just to be sure they played and there was sound. I told her to go pick a few. Her music is the "country music" genre. She played a few songs and they sounded good on our in shop speakers.
Now I am not that much of a country music fan, but I do not mind a good country song. The song below "caught" my ear so I decided if I could find this song on YouTube, it would be my theme song for the day. And I found it.
BTW, she hasn't been back to the shop so I think she is enjoying Mint.

Re: Your Theme Song today
I had to do some work around the house today. When I finished, I checked out my surfing 9'3" longboard to make sure it was ready for the upcoming surfing season down on the upper Texas coast at Quintana Beach where I like to surf the waves.
And this surfing season will be my 61st season of surfing waves. I find it hard to "fathom" when I first went surfing when I was 15 years old, I'd still be surfing now at my age of 76.
While I worked on my board I decided to play some Celtic ballad songs/music. The song below caught my ear so I decided to make this one my theme song for the day.
Celtannia - "The Call Of Distant Shores".

Re: Your Theme Song today
Just vaguely thinking of a Latin cover of a song a friend of mine once linked me while we were having a conversation about human nature and why things are the way they are (worth noting he's a Philosophy major and actually teaches it now), and it seemed like the logic for it all kept collapsing back into the sort of themes covered by this song.

"The Athenians, however, represent the unity of these opposites; in them, mind or spirit has emerged from the Theban subjectivity without losing itself in the Spartan objectivity of ethical life. With the Athenians, the rights of the State and of the individual found as perfect a union as was possible at all at the level of the Greek spirit." -- Hegel's philosophy of Mind

Re: Your Theme Song today
With all the brouhaha with Cloudlfare and Pale Moon not working for Pale Moon, I was going to post a song. But it seems CF is again working for Pale Moon. But we will see how long that lasts. But I am going to post this other song instead. An oldie but a goodie. Turn up the volume.
