Re: Your Theme Song today
A woman came into the shop today and wanted to start a music library in her Debian distro on her desktop tower computer. After I installed her music library, she wanted to pick one song from here favorite artist to see if the music (audio) played. She picked this song below.
Adele - "Set Fire To The Rain" (live performance).

Re: Your Theme Song today
We have been having a gamut of warm and cold weather this past week where I live in southeast Texas. From a high of 83 degrees F down to 28 degrees F. With that said, it has been a cold morning. Just made myself a cup of hot cider to drink and enjoy. And I am listening to some music. My choice for the song of the day is below.
Staind - "It's Been Awhile".

When I clicked on the video button to start it, I got a notice saying, "the uploader has not made this video available in your country". Bummer!mr tribute wrote: ↑2026-01-02, 19:33A nice song for today and she isn't afraid of wolves.

Re: Your Theme Song today
Thought I would do a little digging on YouTube since Vevo is not playing "Mr. tribute's" song choice for us in the USA. At least where I live.
Lisa Miskovsky - "Stardust".

Thank you. I guess I posted too much yesterday so I even forgot to add artist and song title.Night Wing wrote: ↑2026-01-02, 20:42Thought I would do a little digging on YouTube since Vevo is not playing "Mr. tribute's" song choice for us in the USA. At least where I live.

It's the right song. Too bad the video with the wolves was unavailable. Should probably come with a warning: "Please don't try this at home".

Re: Your Theme Song today
Our little almost 9 year old great niece called our home earlier today. She chatted with my wife for awhile. My wife then told me her niece wanted to talk to me over the phone.
The "niece" wanted to know what the temperature of the water was at Quintana Beach where I surf my longboard. I told her it was a "little chilly" since it was 66 degree F. She told me when the reaches 75 degrees F sometime in late March or early April, she wanted to "solo" on my surfing 9'3" longboard. I told her, "Count on it".
We talked for around 20 minutes. Then my wife's niece asked me if I was going to choose a theme song for today on this forum. I asked her why? She wanted to know if I was going to, she wanted to choose the artist and the song.
I told her, "Go for it" and I will post it. Since she is a "Swifty", I had a feeling she would pick a Taylor Swift song. And she did.
Taylor Swift - "The Fate Of Ophelia".

Re: Your Theme Song today
Another day another song.
On my way back home from Petsmart to get some cat food for my orange colored tiger stripped feline companion, I was listening to some music. This song caught my "ear" so I am going to make this my theme song for the day.
Kelly Clarkson - "Since U Been Gone".

Re: Your Theme Song today
I went grocery shopping earlier today. The grocery store where I shop at, it plays a lot of classic rock music over their speakers. Of course, not too loud. Just loud enough to hear and enjoy the music as one walks down all the aisles while looking at the grocery list for the items they need.
As I walking down the aisle which has cookies on it, this song below came on and it is very old. Vintage 1972 and I can remember it well. Seems like "yesterday" for me.
Jim Croce - "Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels).

Re: Your Theme Song today
I woke up today to the news flooded with more and more of Trump's demand for Greenland, as absurd as it is and with bogus reasons.
So that settled it. My theme song for today became:
Queen - I Want It All

The "mimalloc" discussed in Issue #2911 (UXP) immediately reminded me of a certain Touhou character. And coincidentally a YouTube channel I subscribe to published today a fanmade MV for a vocal arrange of Mima's theme from PoDD, lol.

I think when you mentioned Trump and Greenland, is that not in the realm of Politics. Sure looks like it to me. After all, you made the rules which I am going to quote. And I'll point "specifically" to the rule which you made and broke. Unless of course, you're going to "fudge" on the word, "minimum" to get away with it.
But if you want to discuss politics, I'll give you the other side of the coin. BTW, I'm an Independent voter, not a Republican.

So... please don't armchair-moderate, thanks.
I don't. And what I posted wasn't political, it was just my justification for having that as the theme song based on Trump's clear and public words -- it's neither discussing politics nor taking any particular stance on the matter, political or otherwise.
So... please don't armchair-moderate, thanks.

Re: Your Theme Song today
Southeast Texas where I live is right in the bullseye of a 12-15 hours ice storm. My home is in this target zone. Widespread power outages are forecasted for Saturday night until around noon on Sunday. With that said, me and my neighbor decided to go to our local grocery store and stock up on some food stuffs and fill our numerous gasoline cans to power our generators which produce power (electricity) so we will have constant power.
If the ice accumulates up to 1/2" in depth, since southeast Texas doesn't get many ice storms, the roads will be icy. Our local officials have urged everyone to "stay home" and stay off of the roads. This also means I might not have internet service since our wifi is carried overhead on power pole lines. Time will tell.
While both of us were in the grocery store, as usual this store plays classic rock oldies . This song caught my ear and it is below.
Hilary Duff - "Come Clean".

Re: Your Theme Song today
Saw online the lead singer of the band; 3 Doosr Down, Brad Arnold, passed away at the age of 47 because of the disease, cancer. My favorite song of this group was the one titled, "When I'm Gone". So I am going to post this song in remembrance of Brad.
