Yes but wouldn’t that cause more negatives than positives?

Depends on the YouTuber. If Linus Tech Tips tries it, Pale Moon would gain immense notoriety for being slow on modern websites -- an 'unc' browser stuck in the past. But if Luke Smith likes it and shows it to his followers, Pale Moon would be known in niche FOSS/Linux/elitist circles as a 'based' browser that shields against soydevvery. More people use it, and maybe we get a couple more contributors to its development! (All speculative, but you get the idea.)
Unfortunately, Luke Smith doesn't like Pale Moon so that isn't happening.

A YouTuber like Louis Rossmann, if he made a video about Pale Moon, the browser would blow up in popularity.

Mental Outlaw trying it would be the best outcome. Considering he's tried a few independent browsers before (like actually independent, and not Firefox), it wouldn't be too far-fetched if he does someday make a Pale Moon video._JaSn wrote: ↑2026-05-05, 17:22Depends on the YouTuber. Rossman trying it would be similar in reaction to if Linus Tech Tips made a video on it, they have similar audiences, after all.

Uh, if Rossman tried out Pale Moon, or revisited it if he tried it before, yeah it would be like with LTT. Rossman may be very pro-competition, pro-user, etc. but I feel he is also quite pragmatic. He would not recommend Pale Moon. Besides, his area is more about talking about more mainstream, user-centric issues and controversies. He's not gonna try a browser out of nowhere.ownedbywuigi wrote: ↑2026-05-05, 17:51Off-topic:

I noticed PewDiePie went all in "Drop Windows, go Linux, drop Google" mode. In the video about Google, he talks briefly about using alternative web browser. Pale Moon isn't mentioned, but in the picture that shows, it appears in the "There are better options" category.

Re: [Vent] Being Pale Moon user is frustrating
I started using Pale Moon back in 2011 when I was using Windows 7. Then when I went to Linux Mint 13 in January of 2013. I had to use Firefox as the backup browser because at that time there was no linux Pale Moon.
But when linux Pale Moon was publicly released in January of 2014, it became my default browser in Mint. Since it is now 2026, I have been using Pale Moon for the last 15 years. Pale Moon is not perfect so on those occasions which come along and Pale Moon falters on a website, I use linux Waterfox as my backup browser.
Speaking just for myself, Pale Moon and Waterfox are a very, very good working combination for my needs, likes and wants.
