What's not obvious if you follow this link to the rock directly, is that this is what you get redirected to if you visit the main page. They have this stupid script here...

So it is explicitly checking for Pale Moon via navigator.userAgent here, and using some convoluted method I don't understand to block Internet Explorer.

Gotta hand it to them, they really do manage to combine all the awfulness of Chrome and Firefox in a way that neither of those projects can manage independently. They have the worst of both... Chrome UI and Firefox engine. The other way around would be better...

On the flip side, it's funny that they have to compile and customize Firefox from source just to achieve what Pale Moon can do out of the box with complete themes like PMChrome.

More irony if you think about it: they are trying to market a browser, but are blocking people on other browsers from visiting their site
I guess they didn't get the memo that a browser download site must be as accessible with any browser as possible.

It doesn't do that when blocking scripts with eMatrix in Pale Moon. That's odd.

Nope.
It's rudimentary browser sniffing. If you fake your UserAgent to Firefox the site will work with Pale Moon too.(No redirection)
